Dehradun. Dr. Rajendra Prasad Khajuria, an Indian Forest Service officer of 1991 batch belong to the Andhra Pradesh Cadre has joined as the Director of Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA) Dehradun on 02.07.2026. He succeeds Smt Bharati who superannuated on 30.06.2026. Prior to joining as the Director, IGNFA, he had been serving as the Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh Environment Management Corporation Ltd. The 1991- batch IFS officer of the Andhra Pradesh Cadre of the Indian Forest Services, Dr Khajuria is a distinguished forester and academician with over 35 years of experience. He originally belongs to Jammu and Kashmir. He holds a Ph.D from the University of Toronto, Canada, and has served in several key roles in forest management, environment conservation, and policy formulation. He has also published several research papers in the international and national journals. He is a worthy officer with a clear vision towards shaping the overall Indian Forest Service Training according to the objectives of Amrti Kaal. On assuming the charge of the Director, he interacted with the faculty members and staff of the IGNFA and took stock of various activities being undertaken by the Academy.
